Lawns that are 10 years old or older can greatly benefit from overseeding. Older turfgrasses need more fertilizer and watering, and appear “worn out”. Overseeding utilizes newer turfgrass varieties that have been developed to better withstand insects, disease, shady conditions, drought and heavy traffic. A renovated lawn looks healthier and stays greener. You will realize your investment in less fertilizer and water.
If your lawn has at least 50% healthy turf, you can overseed alone, and your lawn will look greener and stay healthier. Overseeding alone is part of a good lawn maintenance program, however, for optimal results we recommend core aeration & slit seeding with dethatching. Overseeding alone can help take your “worn out” looking lawn to a lush, greener lawn. After overseeding, your lawn will also be treated with a starter fertilizer which will help insure optimal growth. This is our GOOD seeding program.
