Lawn Care Tips

“You trust us with your home, now trust us with your lawn.”

Your Lawn

Fertilization supplements the nutrients your soil produces. It helps make your lawn healthier, greener and and more capable of withstanding adverse conditions. We apply balanced fertilizers, enriched with the proper amounts of slow and quick release nitrogen, phosphorus and potash and formulated for the soil conditions in your area. Effective broadleaf weed control depends on several factors: temperature, humidity and stage of growth. Many broadleaf weeds are difficult to control and require several treatments. This is why we include weed control. New weeds that sprout after an application will be controlled on your next treatment. The most effective weed control eliminates the plant slowly in approximately two weeks.

Rain

Rain is the best thing that can happen to your lawn after an application for fertilization and insect control. A hard rain, one or two hours after an application may affect broadleaf control. If this occurs, wait two weeks and check the weed control. Then, if results are unsatisfactory, call our office for an inspection and proper action.

Watering

During dry periods, a lawn may require as much as 1 1/2 inches of water per week. Best results are attained when the soil is damp to a depth of 4 to 6 inches after watering. Watering in the morning thoroughly twice a week is considered the best program. If natural rainfall doesn’t occur within two days after an application, a light watering is recommended.
